Hi Folks,
Here we go … Many of us New Englanders are scurrying
around, here and there, as usual, trying to finish up outdoor projects, closing down this year's gardens and looking forward to the holiday season, that always seems to be moving toward us faster and faster each year. As the hecticity heightens around us, (maybe not a word yet but should be?) hopefully we can all take time to enjoy ourselves, our families, our friends and give each other a pat on the back here and there. My folks always have taught me to enjoy the journey and I often have to remind myself that! I am never without a feeling of gratitude for all of the pats on the back that I have gotten from you folks so I just wanted make sure to take the time and say thank you!
We had a great summer of gigs and getting to see you folks was the biggest reward of all for us.
Barry Goudreau's Engine Room had some great opportunities, the most exciting being three dates with the Hollywood Vampires (Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp). B.G.E.R will be finishing off the year with a gig at the City Winery in Boston on December 30th (we can call it a New Year's Eve-Eve Party!).
Locally, I'll be at the Hawthorne in Salem, every Thursday night (except Thanksgiving), solo on the grand piano from 6-9. I'll also be at the Lazy Dog in Lynn (proud to say, my home town) on 11/18 and 12/16 from 9:30-12:30.
Now … (drum roll please) …
So many of you great folks who have known and graciously supported my musical efforts for so many years, know full well that the music of THE WHO has always been a passion of mine. I can honestly say that this body of work has shaped who I have become as musician. A few years ago, I finally dared to put together a group dedicated solely to the celebration and performance of music by the WHO. All of the mates in this band share the same passion and we so look forward to our performances together. I chose to name the group "5:15," after one of the great songs on their 1973 album Quadrophenia. We don't consider ourselves to be a true tribute act, dressing up to look like THE WHO … Let's face it, if I had the hair and the abs of Roger Daltrey, I may have re-thunk that!
We are a celebration of this great music and we hope you can join us to celebrate on Friday, November 24th (Black Friday) at Capone's in Peabody. The show will start at 9 and the doors will open at 7. The kitchen is open until 9 and their food is great!
Please call (978) 977-0520 to purchase tickets in advance, to ensure that you can join us. Seating will be first come first serve but if you buy your tickets in advance you will get to be with us for the show! We can't wait and as always, thank you for your support!
Brian
